Ocean shipment visibility that tells the truth.
ForOps and customer teams who answer “where is my container?” all day
Most tracking tools are confident and wrong. They paint a box “100% complete” before it has sailed, stamp an ETA that never moves, and leave your customer team to find out the hard way.
What ocean shipment visibility should mean
Ocean shipment visibility is not a map with a moving dot. It is a status your team can repeat to a customer without checking it twice: where the container is, what happened to it last, and when it will really arrive. Navo24 reads the carriers directly, across 240+ carriers and 350 recognised SCACs. A container number, a bill of lading or a booking reference all resolve to the same timeline.
A milestone is “done” only when an event says so
TrackingMCP draws the timeline from the carrier’s own events, normalised to the DCSA standard. A milestone reads as reached only when an actual event backs it. “No data yet” looks different from “nothing happened”: they are different, and your customer can tell. Gate in, loaded on board, transshipment, discharge and gate out each carry the time and place the carrier reported.
ETAs predicted from real delay
The arrival date is computed from the delay we actually observe on the lane and the vessel, reconciled with the carrier’s estimate and the live AIS position. When it moves, it moves for a reason you can pass on:
- A congested port of discharge.
- A transshipment that ran late.
- A vessel holding off the berth.
One answer, everywhere you work
The same truthful status is available as an MCP tool an assistant can read aloud, a REST call your TMS can make, and a webhook that pushes the change. Your customer-facing answer and your internal answer are finally the same answer.
From reference to answer
Send one container number, bill of lading or booking.Get back the route, the milestones and a predicted ETA.Receive a webhook the moment any of it changes.
Most desks start with the containers customers ask about most, then subscribe the whole book. Exceptions surface on their own, so the team spends its morning on the boxes that are late instead of refreshing carrier portals for the ones that are fine.
Questions about ocean shipment visibility
What is ocean shipment visibility? It is knowing where each container is, which milestone it last reached and when it will arrive, backed by events from the carrier rather than estimates typed in by hand.
Which references can I track? A container number, a bill of lading or a booking reference. Navo24 recognises the carrier from the reference and covers 240+ carriers.
How is the predicted ETA different from the carrier's ETA? The carrier's estimate is one input. TrackingMCP adds the delay observed on the lane and the vessel and its live AIS position, and shows the reason when the date moves.
How do I get status changes into my own systems? Call the REST API from your TMS, connect an assistant through the MCP tool, or subscribe the container to a webhook that pushes every change.
